Privacy Policy

Visit Thread Privacy Policy Effective date: October 18, 2026 Operator: Metal Mirror Inc. Contact: info@metalmirror.co This policy explains how the Visit Thread iPhone and iPad app handles information. Visit Thread is a personal organizer for people, conversations, and follow-up plans. It does not require an account. Information you choose to save You may enter names, phone numbers, addresses, saved map pins, preferred visiting times, groups, language or nationality, conversation notes, publication titles, companion names, and scheduled visits. Saved records and unfinished visit drafts are stored on your device. We do not operate a developer server that receives these records. Notes may contain sensitive information about other people. Enter only information you are authorized to keep and take care when sharing your device or exported files. Advertising and tracking Visit Thread does not include advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not receive or sell your visit records or use them for advertising. Maps and optional location access Maps, address suggestions, pin address lookups, and directions use Apple services. These functions may send Apple the address, map area, destination, or position needed to complete your request. They may require an internet connection. If you allow location access, the app can show your current position alongside saved locations. Your current position is not saved in visit records or sent to a developer backend. You can change location permission in your device’s Settings. Declining permission does not prevent entering people or notes. Apple’s services are subject to Apple’s privacy practices. App Lock and reminders Optional App Lock uses Apple’s Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode authentication. Apple performs the check; Visit Thread receives the result, not facial images, fingerprints, biometric templates, or your passcode. Visit reminders use optional local notifications. Their general wording does not include a person’s name or address. You can control notification permission in your device’s Settings. Backups and other apps The records and drafts directory is marked to exclude it from automatic device backups. This cannot remove copies already stored in older backups or prevent every form of device transfer. You may create a manual backup protected with a password you choose. It includes saved records, conversations, schedules, Recently Deleted, and Home. Unfinished drafts and appearance preferences are not included. Keep your backup password safe; we cannot recover it. You choose where to save or share the backup. Selecting a cloud folder uploads that encrypted copy to your chosen provider. Older unprotected backups remain readable wherever you saved them. Storage providers handle those files under their own privacy practices. Directions and phone/message buttons open other apps. Those apps handle the information you choose to use under their own privacy practices. Keeping and deleting information Records remain on your device until you change or remove them. Deleted people remain in Recently Deleted until you restore or permanently remove them. Permanent removal also removes their associated visit records and drafts from the app. Backups or copies outside the app must be managed separately. Removing the app may remove its local information. We cannot remotely retrieve, restore, or erase records from your device because we do not receive them. Keep a protected manual backup if you need a recovery copy. Contacting support If you contact us, we receive your contact information and the details you choose to send. Please do not send private visit records, other people’s sensitive information, or backup passwords. Changes and contact We may update this policy if the app or its privacy practices change.
